The ultimate European skiing holiday by private jet charter

For thrill-seekers, good eaters and spa goers alike, a luxury ski holiday is the perfect way to spend a winter’s weekend - and, with private jet ski holidays, you can be on the slopes in a flash.

We’ve put together some of the best luxury European ski holidays to inspire your next charter with us.

Courchevel, France

Set high in the French Alps, Courchevel is one of the glitziest ski resorts in the world. Despite being known for its splashy nightclubs, Michelin-starred dining and decadent hotel scene, it's not just about the glitz – the Trois Vallées ski region is home to 600km of pistes and over 160 lifts, with trails for intermediates, beginners and experts alike.

There are many luxury chalets in Courchevel for skiers seeking their own space. If you prefer a hotel, one of France’s finest ski resorts is Cheval Blanc Courchevel. This sleek and sophisticated hideaway is ski-in/ski-out for easy access to the slopes.

Baqueira-Beret, Spain

One of the most well-known and luxurious ski resorts in Spain, in the mountains of Catalonia lies the resort of Baqueira-Beret. Spread across three areas (Beret, Baqueira and Bonaigua) the resort boasts a network of modern facilities, carefully maintained tracks, and opulent eateries and accommodation. Due to the altitude (1500-2610 metres) ski season begins in November and runs right through to April.

The most luxurious hotel in this location is, without doubt, Hotel Val de Neu G.L. located a mere 50 yards from a ski lift, this contemporary masterpiece provides guests with lavish amenities, first-class cuisine and stunning views of the mountains. Along with a delightful spa and heated pool, there’s also a beautiful chill-out area at the heart of this hotel where residents can convene and warm up by the fireplace.

Val D'Isère, France

Considered by many to be the premier ski resort in France, Val D'Isère provides the ultimate location for a luxury ski chalet holiday. Situated at the head of the Tarentaise Valley, the range of slopes has produced a whole generation of ski stars and experts that refuse to practice their trade anywhere else. Along with modern chairlifts and amenities, this resort has a range of fantastic bars for apres ski options. Le K2 Chogori, Hôtel de Luxe Val d'Isère is the perfect accommodation for those searching for a modern 5-star hotel. Lavishly adorned with marble-esque tiles, warm contemporary fittings and expansive suites, this hotel is a truly sophisticated haven in the Alps. However, this region lends itself to luxury chalets holidays - and there are a plethora of stunning lodges to choose from. Some of these are large enough to house up to 14 people and boast heated spa-like plunge pools, sizable living areas and vast kitchens.

Megève, France

Luxury ski trips don’t get much better than Megève. With a pedestrian-only cobblestoned centre, snow-topped chalets and an open-air ice rink, the town is a winter wonderland. As well as outstanding restaurants and pastry shops (this is France, after all), intermediate skiers will be particularly pleased with Megève's skiing as they take in spectacular views of Mont Blanc from many of the pistes.

Design aficionados should book a suite at Les Fermes de Marie, where chic bedrooms are decorated in warm woods, French toile and fluffy fur throws. Megève Airport’s short runway means it’s not accessible by commercial aircraft, so book a private jet charter to get you there in style.

Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy

The Dolomites are known for their spectacular mountain scenery and many well-heeled Italians flock to their chalets in Cortina d'Ampezzo during ski season. The skiing here is world-class – it hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics, after all – but there’s much more to Cortina than just the slopes. The charming town centre is home to designer boutiques, excellent restaurants and a lively après-ski scene.

While there are many lovely ski chalets in Cortina, the most exclusive ski resort here is the Cristallo. This iconic hotel offers excellent alpine views from plush bedrooms. It’s located a bit outside of town, but the luxurious spa, indoor pool and palatial interiors will soon make you forget the drive. To get to Cortina, book a private jet charter to Venice followed by a scenic helicopter ride to Cortina d’Ampezzo.
